Meet the Animals
of Longneck Manor
At Longneck Manor, our animals are more than residents. Each personality is a conservation ambassador who brings guests face to face with giraffes and rhinos.
Longneck Manor is home to a crash of three rhinos — Fred, Barney, and Justin — and a tower of nine giraffes: Kafele, Betty, Tana, Mosi, Kili Rose, Indy, Archie and Winifred. The reticulated giraffe is classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List; the southern white rhinoceros as Near Threatened. Meeting them in person connects conservation to something immediate and real.
Through guided encounters led by our Animal Care Specialists, these animals help guests understand the pressures their wild counterparts face and how the organizations we fund are working to protect them. Every visit to Longneck Manor directly supports those efforts through the Longneck Manor Conservation Foundation.

A Tower of Nine
Bruno is our resident Linnaeus's two-toed sloth and participates in encounters with overnight guests only.
The Giraffe Barn
At the heart of Longneck Manor is our 10,000-square-foot giraffe barn, built to support the health, comfort, and behavioral needs of our resident reticulated giraffes. Constructed to AZA accreditation standards, the barn provides a safe environment where the animals rest, shelter during weather, and receive daily enrichment from our Animal Care team.
Features include tall access doors, non-slip flooring, elevated feeding and watering systems, natural lighting, and a dedicated veterinary care area. The surrounding pasture includes a naturalistic rock kopje and African waterhole as habitat features built to replicate the animals' native savanna environment and support daily behavioral enrichment.
As an AZA-accredited facility, Longneck Manor upholds the highest standards of animal care, ensuring every animal in our care remains healthy, safe, and behaviorally engaged.
A Unique Guest Perspective
Guests visiting Longneck Manor experience giraffes from a unique vantage point, an elevated viewing walkway built for safe, respectful interaction. During guided encounters, guests participate in feeding moments and interact with the giraffes at eye level while learning from our Animal Care Specialists about giraffe behavior, IUCN conservation status, and what is being done to protect their wild populations.
